Rutherglen High School Farm
Rutherglen has a fully operational farm where students learn about different aspects of farming including animal husbandry, vegetable growing, building and construction and business. The School offers an Agriculture program - VCE Agriculture, and the 'Farm-to-Table' subject at Year 9, as part of our alternative Year 9 Alive program.
Currently the farm runs chickens, ducks, sheep and steers. Seasonal vegetables are grown organically.
Our Year 9 Steer Handling Team are once again off to the Royal Melbourne Show over the September holidays with Mr Ron Webb. We wish the Steer Handlers the best of luck in the 2018 Handling and Carcase Competitions!
